Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You forward your existing line to Hola, so the number on your sign, your menu, and your Google listing keeps working exactly as it does today. Hola gives you a number to forward to; that is the $15 a year.
What does the first $49.99 buy?
$50 of credit. Calls draw it down at 25¢ a minute and texts at 3¢, so it covers 200 minutes of calls, or fewer calls and more texts. Replies on web chat, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and Messenger are 2¢ each. When it runs low you add whatever you like, $10 or $100, by hand or automatically. There is no monthly fee and credit never expires.
What if I stop using Hola?
Nothing to cancel, because there is no subscription. Your credit stays on your account, and your number is yours for 12 months from the day you paid for it. Come back within that time and everything is where you left it. We warn you a month before the 12 months run out, and you can renew the number alone for $15.
Can I take my number with me?
Yes. It is your number. You can port it to any carrier at any time, even while paused.
What happens when Hola doesn’t know the answer?
It says so plainly, takes a message, and either transfers the caller to you or texts you the summary and the number — whichever rule you set. It does not guess at your prices or your hours.
What counts as a voice minute?
Time Hola spends on a live call, billed per second. A 90-second call is 1.5 minutes, not 2.
What do I get without a card?
Fifty chat replies and a one-time 10-minute demo call, so you can see and hear Hola answer. A dedicated number, SMS, and WhatsApp start when you add a card.
Is there a contract or a setup fee?
No. You pay for credit and for your number, nothing else. If you leave, your recordings and transcripts stay available for export for 30 days, and your number stays yours for its 12 months.
